Your session is complete, you’ve received your final gallery and excitedly scrolled through your final images. What now?
Aside from displaying prints and photos books of your images around your home, don’t forget to write a review or testimonial about your positive experience! If leading up to, during, or after your session you had a positive/warm-fuzzy experience and especially if you said “ooooh!” at any point while reviewing the final gallery, then leaving your photographer a positive review is an awesome way to show your love of their work and help their small business succeed.
Rachel Louise Photography is my dream job. It started from the joy I feel in my heart when making photography and when interacting with my clients. This business that I dreamed about for years before turning it into a reality is, at its roots, a passion project aimed at adding more positivity and beauty to the world. It also supports my family and for that I will never quite be able to put into words how thankful I am that I get to create art for other families and support my family at the same time ♥️
Why Reviews Mean So Much
From the time and care I put into communicating with my clients leading up to/during/after a session, to the attention to detail and and quality I put into each photograph delivered to a client… I put my all into the overall experience. So when a client tells me what they loved about their experience with me, I do a literal happy dance (and to be completely honest, I definitely shout a little “eeeeek!!!” of excitement every time. It never gets old!
Read: reviews are like the “good job!” smiley face stickers our third-grade teachers used to put on the top of our spelling quiz papers – like the true millennial that I am, a little positive reinforcement gives me all the warm-fuzzies!
Why You Should Leave Your Photographer A Review
Whether we’ve worked together recently or in the past, your reviews and kind words help others find and connect with my business. Honest feedback and reviews are vital to my business’ growth and success, and I genuinely cannot find enough thankful words to express how much gratitude I hold in my heart for your support.
Without you, my clients, this business wouldn’t be able to keep going (the cameras/lenses/flashes/diffusers/etc., computer gear, photo editing software, website, gallery delivery and client management systems … a professional photography business is expensive!). Positive reviews help new clients find a photographer and identify if that photographer is right for them.
Fun fact: Google gives preferential treatment to businesses who’ve received 5-star reviews!
In other words: a positive review boosts my SEO… so when someone searches google for “Family Photographer in Iowa City” or “Maternity Photographer in Iowa City,” the Rachel Louise Photography google page and website will pop up as one of the first responses.
