Iowa City Maternity Photography Session with Brianna
This maternity photography session at Wilson’s Orchard in Iowa City was SO MUCH FUN.
Brianna’s session was rescheduled multiple times for cold, wind and rain plus once while I had a stomach bug. But then the clouds parted, the sun came out, the wind was benched for the day, and this magic happened.
Spring blossoms that were supposed to be coating the trees? They had been blown away in the storm the day prior but the session was beautiful even without the spring blossoms because I was so focused on this beautiful mama and everything else was the supporting cast.
We incorporated a vintage lace tablecloth for a really beautiful and unique backdrop in part of the session. Fun fact: that lace tablecloth was actually handed down to me from my great-grandmother – the woman I was named after and the namesake of my photography business – Louise ♥️ (oh, my heart!)
For Brianna’s session we had music, sunshine, a beautiful sunset, birds chirping so sweetly all around us, and the entire apple orchard all to ourselves. It was such a sweet and calm session with good laughs and good company.
Brianna wore two gowns from my client closet – Harper (the mauve/pink maternity gown) and Emma (the russet red maternity gown) along with one of my custom-made faux baby’s breath floral crowns. As always, I had fresh flowers available for us to incorporate in different ways throughout the session. HERE’s a link to all of the maternity gowns in my Client Closet.
